I use the surgeons knot for fluoro to fluoro when respooling but the online way to do so is to have the tag ends parallel rather than perpendicular and i was wondering if that affects the strength as i saw it being the strongest as well as being able to cut the tags of as much as possible
(I started to care about line to line knot strength after hooking a massive carp)
