Best and most versatile I've uses for tiny BFS up to slowfall jigging are the cheap Rapala ones.

I keep the Texas tackle split ring pliers in the boat. But I keep my good ones(halco’s) at home when I’m changing out hooks on multiple baits and need better pliers.

Interesting. I have several of both Texas Tackle and several Halcos - prefer the Texas style :-)

I keep the Smith split ring tweezers in with my trout gear, it works well for size 0 to size 3 split rings. Not something you'd want for general purpose fishing, but if you're a trout and panfish kinda guy, they're better than the pliers since they won't mangle tiny split rings. You can find them for ~$5 per pair on the Japanese tackle sites.
