Discontinued Hard Baits
Made a nice order for some discontinued goodness. As soon as that shipping price from Japan dropped, I had to jump on it. These things were the best shallow jerkbaits made, and getting to be so hard to find! Miss those Bonnie too, so had to throw one of those in.
What hardbaits do you regularly fish that have been discontinued, and what is it that makes you throw it over something that’s available?

I need to get on the hunt for some Jackall Bling 55's. My stash is dangerously low now.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I still have a few of the original Poe's cedar cranks, too. I only fish them in open water.JBcrankaddict wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 8:20 amThat’s a good one Tim, not much else on the market like it.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:06 pmI need to get on the hunt for some Jackall Bling 55's. Anything made by Ed Chambers, and a Little crankbait by Rapala called crr08. Caught a bunch of nice fish on them over the years. Got a small stockpile of both baits, but you can never have too many.

Re: Discontinued Hard Baits
The Mann's Waker Elite, the best wake crank ever made!!! What makes it so good is that you can burn it and it only goes 3" deep and it doesn't blow out. Every other wake crank I've tried, including the Buzzjet and Buzzjet Jr., either blows out at high speed or ends up diving too deep. Another bait has already been mentioned, The Jackall Bling 55, I didn't really think there was anything special about them until I got my rear end handed to me by a friend who was using that bait. I bought one, just 1 thinking it might have been just plain luck that it worked so well. It turned out that it was a killer crank and I'm lucky enough I found out while I could still get them. I have 6 total and if they ever come back I'll get another 6.
Barlow's Tackle
Re: Discontinued Hard Baits
Pre rapala luhr jensen speed traps are a sleeper and harder to find decent ones.
Re: Discontinued Hard Baits
The rapala Flat Rap 6cm has given me a lot of big brown trouts (50-70cm) in the rivers around me, which are relatively narrow and shallow. It is as effective and realistic as the Original Floating but it launches noticeably better, further and with greater precision. It also has the advantage of being better suited to UL rods because its small lip offers very little resistance. Another thing that I like is that, even using natural colors, it is better distinguished in the water and easy to trace due to its different way of swimming (Rolling vs wobbling) and the reflections emitted by the sides of the body.
I own and have tried most colors and my favorites for trout are G, OPSD and BSRD.
It is an extremely difficult size to come by, sold out years ago in stores around the world. It hurts a lot to lose them. I try not to use it in areas where I can not access or wade to retrieve it if snagged.

I got a bunch of Flash Minnow 95s I have hoarded, Some of them I sourced from Europe. Including a few MS American Shad Color. I Contemplated selling them off this winterJBcrankaddict wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 11:23 amMade a nice order for some discontinued goodness.
