Specialty Tackle

Back in the day, there was an online tackle retailer that carried quite a few JDM baits, one of which were Zip Baits. They may be still available or reintroduced.

I think you mean the Zenith baits. One has already been reproduced:

Thanks Cal. That’s the ones. I remember someone asking about them on the forum a while back.

I bought a couple of their fat bodied shallow running crank (1-2 foot diver) but they all sank. Ended up being a waste of money

The Big Bite? that's weird.

That's it Cal. When I read the review here and they were no longer being made so I procured a few through an auction site.

Making a suspending crankbait isn't a big deal with a bit of Storm suspension strips. Does anybody have good data (or even just anecdotes) on how a suspending squarebill outperforms a rising one? (Nature of Fishing even has a video on it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCQ5ZPMArqQ)

Either way, I might need to get myself a couple of these Skinny Bear ones for convenience; I started throwing the 6th Sense "Quake 80 Suspending" lipless in a fishery where I throw 90% (well-balanced!) jerkbaits, and that suspending crank worked quite well to cover water while giving the bass the look they like. Maybe this will work, as well.
