1/2oz+ finesse jigs?

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

1/2oz+ finesse jigs?

Post by greatbarracuda » Mon Aug 09, 2021 6:53 pm

Hey Folks,

Been using Keitech's model 1 casting jig for a number of years and it is just about perfect for me across its hook ("3/0" hook that fishes like a 1/0), size/profile (compact tungsten/skirt), and colours. Their old keeper wasn't my favourite but that has been fixed with their ver. 2. The only remaining flaw is that they only make up to 1/2oz which is on the light side as a stroking jig.

Is there a comparable 1/2oz+ finesse jig that you guys can recommend? My tackle leans JDM but certainly open to others...

I like the Outkast Cage Feider and Stealth Feider jigs. They use a VMC hook but I haven't had any issues with it so far. They're not really finesse jigs though.

I think the Picasso Little Spotty is better than the Keitech. It has a 2x Gammy hook and a weedguard that actually works. Their tungsten football jigs are good too and go up to 3/4 oz with a 4/0 hook.
