“Finesse” flipping jigs

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

“Finesse” flipping jigs

Post by rando » Mon Apr 18, 2022 6:39 pm

I have been on a hunt for an ultimate “finesse” flipping jig.
I mean small profile jig with small stout hook and stout weed guard that feels at home in the middle of submerged wood.

Bitsy flip was a huge disappointment. Every other I ordered came with weed guard not long enough and was promptly consumed by submerged wood.

Those beast coast lil magnums look very promising.
I also ordered some z man power finesse, but have not had time to fish em yet.

Look at the Riot Baits Tungsten Minima Jig it should fit your needs, I've used it a bit.

not sure exactly what type head you are wanting, but the do-it molds brush jig works the best for me in wood. they also make a great looking jig with a finesse type skirt. there's tons of folks that pour them and sell them on the inet. i'm sure someone could pour you jigs like you're looking for

I think between riot minima and zman power finesse I found what I was looking for l. I have yet to try beast coast jig, but I’m sure I will eventually.

I build and throw several skirt styles in finesse 3/4 oz. Arkie head flipping jigs 6/0 lite wire black nickel mustard hooks with 18 fiber fiberguards. They work very well in heavy cover.

Punisher Jigs, but I have only found them from Canadian retailers.

I use the Keitech Model 1 in 1/4-1/2 for finesse flipping. Works great. Softer guard, but for most cover it is fine.

Another small/finesse flipping jig is the D&L Baby Advantage Jig, the Nichols Dee Thomas Finesse Flipping jig, and any of the finesse line of Dirty Jigs.

I also flip the Molix Nano Jig, but they are approaching super finesse levels, not much weedguard and a VERY small hook.

Switch the regular skirt with a fine cut one from Lure Parts Online.

I bought another Bitsy Flip yesterday with gift cards.

I've had multiple bait keepers on these not formed properly, which I though was a defect on my last purchase, but it's just a huge long, thick piece of extended lead by design.

I guess depending on the bait it'll keep it on ,but it tore up a buck of thinner bodied baits I chose.

Outkast cage feider because it has a horizontal line tie. Second choice would be the beast coast lil magnum followed by riot baits minima tungsten.
