I have a pretty decent jig collection, especially finesse jigs, but have never tried a puffball jig. I would bet they would be great for our local river smallmouth. The largemouth here enjoy little lures too.

Those puff balls remind me of a Skinny Bear jig that we fish out here in CA a lot. (Well, used to)

Skinny bear is relocating to Bakersfield ca.
I started producing the puffball jig in 1985
It is the original puffball jig when square rubber was still around. The Lions collar jig I started building in 1992. Both were and still are very well received today. There a lot of different ways to build them to color both in fine and regular grade rubber and silicone skirting material. I build jigs form 1/64oz to 1.5 oz
In several styles of jig head. I retired from manufacturing sept 1977 to June 2022.
45 year run was good. Now back to just a hobby
