TT does a swell review of the Dipper. I really like how the nose of the bait comes to a point, thus making
the bait come thru weeds better than most swimbaits. It's also salt impregnated which helps the bait two-
fold, aids in nice long casts and the extra weight enables it to be rigged weightless with a 4/0 or 5/0 hook.
My favorite color is Bad Shad, just a great product from RI. =D>

T-rigged with a 5/0 is plenty in most places but when fishing a super weedy lake like Big O I add a Head Case to the front of it.

I throw a ton of Skinny dippers, best way I have found is rigging them on a 5/0 Owner Weighted Twistlock Light hook:

They work great for the skinny dippers.

Happy you mentioned that because I just picked up the same hook for fishing the SD.

I'll go out on a limb and will say, outside of Florda, the most popular way to rig a Dipper is on an A-Rig... :crying:

I use these for the SD but they also make a great swim jig trailer.

I just rig them weightless on a 5/0 EWG hook most of the time. I mostly use them for fishing heavy grass in shallow water or in lily pads. Pretty much anywhere you would fish something like a Ribbit. If the fish are short striking the Ribbit, I put on a Skinny Dipper and let it swim just under the surface in the open spots in the grass mat.

How do these compare to the Keitech Swing Impact? Similar action?

the little dipper is hard to beat as a swimjig trailer.

@bassninja, skinny dippers have more of a woddle and roll while swing impacts have more of a tight wiggle and shimmy. Hope i could help.
