Depends on the conditions and speed. If I'm swimming a swim jig fairly slowly over the tops of a weedbed, or through old rush beds early in the season, the Havoc Deuce or Missile Baits Twin Turbo are great. They're both durable and relatively cheap. Twin tails act like a drogue chute - you can almost hover a bait with your rodtip up. Zip it over the tops of stuff then hover it over pockets. If I'm burning it, a single tail grub is about all you need. If I want more thump, Lunker City Swimmin Ribsters are great, so are Keitech Shiners, Subwoofers, or just about any paddle tail.

Main thing for me honestly is durability. Where I'm at pike and rock bass like swim jigs almost as much as bass do (pike especially) and sunfish are always grabbing the tails, and they're murder on trailers.

Looked like Jason Christie was using a big paddle tail type swim bait as a trailer for a one ounce spinner bait this week at the classic

I love the 13 Churro for when i need a sweet paddle tail in crazy cool smallmouth colors. When im going ultra weedless & finesse i rig a 5 inch kailins grub.
