Re: GeeCrack
I just ordered the 3.8 bellows gill. I wanted the bellows stick in 5.8 but it was sold out. Can you provide any feedback on the geecrack plastics?

Absolutely!!!jerkbait22 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 7:41 amI just ordered the 3.8 bellows gill. I wanted the bellows stick in 5.8 but it was sold out. Can you provide any feedback on the geecrack plastics?
I have only used the 3.8 and smaller. It is a very versatile and DURABLE lure. I’ve used it T-rig and jika and the smaller one as a trailer. They hit this thing hard and I’m not sure why but viscous strikes had been my experience. You can swim it and it has this undulating action when swam or retrieving it.
It does stink too. I don’t know it smells like
When your casting it , remember it’s flat and doesn’t want to go far but with the right setup you can get it out very far.
One thing is this lure will rust anything if you leave it on a hook after a few days. I never do but I did notice it just a little on a hook I had it on.
I have the stick too but that lure is HUGE. GIGANTIC ,COLOSSAL etc
I sent some to a friend in Texas to tell me how it fairs there. I’ve used it here in Florida but seemed like I had to rethink my setup. Initially I had too light a setup but now I’m good.
Also these lures are heavy. So don’t be under gunned
The smaller bellows gill can be dropshotted or as a jig trailer and it just works
Maybe because they haven’t seen it but I think it’s just because of the shape and action and smell

Are you guys fishing the gill weightless or with a bullet weight? I think the description says they recommend fishing it weightless....
Re: GeeCrack
I have not used it weightlessjerkbait22 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 2:30 amAre you guys fishing the gill weightless or with a bullet weight? I think the description says they recommend fishing it weightless....

I used it weightless. The sink rate is nice and slow, but it is hard to get a lot of distance unless your using a BFS or spinning rod with the smaller one 2.8". I rigged it on an owner weighted hook (1/8 oz) and could cast it really well with a baitcaster, working the bait like a fluke.jerkbait22 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 2:30 amAre you guys fishing the gill weightless or with a bullet weight? Funny smell and the are not very durable for me. Caught fish on it and quickly went through the pack. I have some more on the way.
Re: GeeCrack
I smoked them on the Bellows Gill tonight. Jika-ing the 3.8 on my Paradox/Antares and Free-rigging the 2.8 on the Oltre/CTSV. Non stop bass, until this beast hit!
