Another update: now, the sunrise is about 7:20AM. I've fished a few times a week in the last two months or so. Now, the topwater bites slowed down, so I started using soft plastics around 8AM, and it's been working. The most productive bait is a 1/8oz wacky jig head with a Jackall Flick Shake. I bought a few packs about 15 years ago, but never really used them. Another one is the same wacky jig head with a Yamamot 5" Kut Tail. I'll have to order more Flick Shake soon.
