That seat mod is actually pretty great! I don't fish a kayak anymore because of a bad back. I can do a couple hours, but that's all.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I have a new kayak and its not awful. It's quite good actually. It is a perception outlaw 11.5 and is basically a lawn chair bolted to a surf board and that's a good thing.

The shallow silty dark bottom pond that warms quickly early season was still closed for the season for camping and gated off so I shoved the yak under the barbed wire fence because I'm not camping. Water temps were low 40s. It's time to bass fish.

I caught like 10 fish on a lipless super spot crank and some wacky floating worm. Found the fish with a 1/4 oz lipless then picked them apart with plastics . There was one back area under a bridge I can't access by kayak so I ventured out on foot and got the latest bass of the 3 hour trip for a total of 8 a and the only one photographed..
