That's the way I did most of my BFS rods. There are some nice factory ones and they are less of a gamble but when you build "that rod"...there is no other feeling

Can you recommend or rank some blanks that fish true to ratings. Still doing research on all of this and gathering the things I need to get started.Hobie-Wan Kenobi wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:35 pmWhen getting into UL blanks, they can vary so much...even with the same ratings.
Ummm...what type of fish do you plan of fishing for? Do you use braid or mono/FC? What size lures?Lefty372 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 8:06 amCan you recommend or rank some blanks that fish true to ratings. Primarily bass with some panfish mixed in. Would be throwing small hair jigs down to 1/16oz along with small cranks and jerk baits no more than 1/4oz. I use braid to mono leader.Hobie-Wan Kenobi wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 8:17 amUmmm...what type of fish do you plan of fishing for? Do you use braid or mono/FC? I can only use my experience with the many blanks I have used.
