Bulk Line Recommendations
I'm looking for some line recommendations for premium flouro and nylon I can buy larger spools of.
I've fished most of the UL Varivas offerings at this point, but I go through their 100m spools far too fast. I love ultralighting to death, but I've burned through so much line I can't keep count.
Anything from Seaguar, Sunline or similar that works for y'all? Lemme know.

I hear you in burning out 100 yd spools. I’ve bull in sublime sniper, p-line tactical and daiwa j. For me the tactical feels better for lighter applications.
If you really want to splurge go with the Gamma Edge, if it wasn’t for the cost, I would bulk on every size of this line.

I like DAM Tectan for mono, use their 5.5lb which is 0.16mm on all my older spin reels that aren't braid-safe.
Still figuring out fluoro, like the Seaguar Red Label in terms of handling and knot strength, but haven't fished it enough to be sure.

Re: Bulk Line Recommendations
Sniper in bulk is good for a UL fluoro. Sunline needs to start doing the precision/parallel wound thing with all quantities of Sniper. The great handling Shooter Defier mono comes in 330 yard spools in the U.S. You may be able to get it in larger spools in Japan.

Re: Bulk Line Recommendations
Does they do sniper in bulk for 2,3,4, or 5 lbs? I will probably use 3 lbs the most but can't find bulk....
Re: Bulk Line Recommendations
I use the gamma copolymer alot and buy in bulk. They also have a flouro but I haven't tried it.
Re: Bulk Line Recommendations
Gamma is the best flouro I have ever used and the only one I use now. I have used seaguar and sunline and they don’t cut it for me. On a side note I only use it for leaders and other lines may handle better then gamma ran on a full spool. Gamma does not break!!!!
Re: Bulk Line Recommendations
It looks like you can't even get the sizes under 5lb. in over 330 yard spools in Japan, much less the U.S. They only sell bulk down to 5lb. in the U.S. That is what I use for trout on my BFS. I break the 4lb. too easily with my casting outfits. It do use the 4lb. Sniper on my ultralight spinning reels occasionally. Apparently there isn't much market for the smaller sizes in bulk.ultralight wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:37 pmDoes they do sniper in bulk for 2,3,4, or 5 lbs? Gamma edge. Try it. It will not disappoint. I like 8,10,12,15,and 20 lb. I believe they have 14lb and I had breakoffs so I never bought it again but i think it was a bum spool cause everything else has been greatRyan808 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 2:32 pmWhich gamma do you use?poot04 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:38 pmGamma is the best flouro I have ever used and the only one I use now. FC SNIPER BMS AZAYAKA is available in 3,4,5,6 & 7 in 300m spools. Inexpensive option and looks really pretty on your reel. Works fine on my Conquest BFS and Air Stream Custom, two completely different braking systems.
