I've been testing Phenix 'ironfeather' rated at 5 lbs. Fresh out of the box, it actually breaks around 4 lbs. Its about $20 per 160 meters/175 yeards. The advantage, not surprisingly, is that it is extremely fine diameter and casts the proverbial 'mile.' I don't think I've any line that casts as far with up to 1/4 oz lures. (It does fray easily though given the fine diameter.)
Curious if there's any decent line from Aliexpress that's UL braid - about 4-5 lbs actual break strength that is also superfine, but lower cost. I'm just starting to experiment with braid....and would love to tests on more of my reels without putting out $20 a pop.
Thanks.
Any Aliexpress UL Braid
