BFS Monkey Mistake

Just opened a box from overseas with a SS TW 8.5L and a MC Finetail FSG. Labored hard on the rod decision and wanted to try the "glass" experience so that narrowed the choices. Had several in the cart and ended up taking the MC. Problem is I received the fsg-4102ul which is the spinning version. Price was really reasonable and it was shipped with other purchases so it is a keeper. The thought is to get the proper fsg-B4102ul and possibly have an extra tip as I really never use spinning gear. Will the tips be pretty much interchangeable? There are 7 guides on the tip end of the spinning and 8 guides on the casting. Length appears to be the same. Is the minus one guide that big of an issue on a 4'10" rod?
