high point

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

just got back from the rod builders show and it was a great experience. since i was looking for a new blank company, i got a couple NFC hm blanks- a couple of the batson rx8,s and a few of the new phenix t46 blanks which are super light and then ran out of money. it was cool to hang out and talk with guys like gary loomis and bill batson etc. :D

now i know why they sell two day tickets, because you need both to see everything and about a week to talk with everyone. i spent almost 8 hours there and only visited about a dozen places.
