Went with the MB709(HM) instead of the SJ736.
It was highly recommended as a frog/pitching rod. I am going to extend it 3".
I also grabbed a 693 Delta. Rated 3/8-1 ¹/⁸ and weights 1.9oz....for $31 bucks it made it the cart.

If you guys are fans of the sj736, you better look at the sj725. Awesome Texas rig and jig rods!
Re: NFC Xray $85 with free shipping!
Is the sj736 too much for a spinning tube rod? I usually fish a 3/8oz jighead plus plastic

Re: NFC Xray $85 with free shipping!
I recently purchased some blanks during this sale. There are a couple that I bought on a whim and I was wondering if anyone had any input on them.
One is a SB 683 X-Ray and the other is a SJ762 HM. I'm waiting for the blanks so I haven't had a chance to get a feel for them. I have a 5 other X-Ray blanks, but this is my first HM. Both will be spinning rods, but I'm not sure what I will use them for yet. I have some ideas for the SJ762HM, but I have no idea what I'll do with the 683 X-Ray (I just thought it would be fun to try something new).
If you have built on or have any info/opinions on either blank I would appreciate your thoughts. I probably won't build them until the fall/winter.
Thanks

Have you tried the soft grip seats, mine just came in and I'm wondering how they fish since my builder is in quarantine?RMCatchNrelease wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 1:35 pmGlad I held off last week now I can get the Neo and an x-ray blank with grips for the same price
