Trika

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

Trika

Has anyone built on a trika blank?

They're kinda spendy... $200 bucks a blank. My preferred blanks right now are point blank but I like the idea of another high end made in the us blank.

There's a thread on the production rods here: http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=88469
Generally people seem to like them. Unconventional actions, but good sensitivity. I'm still intrigued myself even though I've called them out on their marketing claims.

Got my hands on a couple of them at a show about a week ago. They feel pretty good. They only had finished rods. A buddy of mine got one, but still got ice here so will be a bit before he fishes it.

300 for the production rod, 200 for the blank 🤔. I think I'll stick with Point Blank for now. Still need to try the new Eternity, and we have the new Epitome coming which will likely go on sale for 40 to 50 percent off.

I agree. The point blanks have REALLY grown on me.

I will say if the epitome goes on sale... I will be purchasing some.

x-ray blanks for 85 bucks are hard to beat as well... Just really good value.

Have you built on the new Eternity - or whatever the new TOTL Rainshadow blanks are called?
