Some recent hair jigs.

Post by smalljaw » Wed Jul 18, 2012 2:44 pm

The heat here is making the fishing tough and as a result I've been getting a lot of request for hair jigs. Usually I don't begin making them until fall but this year it seems, anyway, here are some recent ones I did for some local anglers, most are meant for smallies in the river as they are done on small football heads with no weedguard and the weedless ones are for lake largemouth.

really nice! I think hair works just as well in hot water as it does in frigid water. it's the in-between periods where the plastic/rubber jigs work better. a lot of my deep water summer hump fishing is done w/ a 1/2 oz hair jig. crawling to stroking

the second one down from the top looks great, is that one made to represent anything specific? 8-)
