Rods in the boat

Post by goldrod » Wed Apr 02, 2014 5:13 am

Does anyone keep any rods in the boat when not in use?
i have two rods that are very long, and the rod sock makes it worse.
I was thinking about just storing them in my boat.. what are your thoughts?

I would imagine it's quite common to do so, especially for those with lots of rods. It'll depend on if your boat has lockable rod storage/boat is stored inside. I have rods that stay in the boat/in my friends boat/in my house/in my vehicles. I keep some specialty rods, that don't get used much, at home and take them with me as I need them (like my panfish/pike/fly rod set ups)

I have two long rods that don't fit the rod rack due to height. I am considering putting them in the boat since its in the garage.
i have fans in there to circulate the air.. it can get pretty hot in FL.
