skeeter switch and ecu problems

I'm looking to replace all of my switches , control unit, etc. I'm not going to replace them with the same parts. As I find out more about this and the problems people are having is what lead me to this decision. I also read that the kit that skeeter sells to do the conversion is not the greatest. My question is, can someone provide me with a full wiring diagram on how this should be, I plan on measuring lengths of where things need to go and pre everything on a sheet of plywood and then putting it in the boat. It's a 09' 21i, it looks like it has a 2" pipe running from the back to the console, some of the wires in there now are really tight. Thats why I do want to fight with it, I would rather start over. I'm an electrician by trade so the wiring and connections should be easy I just dont want to forget something in the prefab. Thanks, Randy
