When boating, how do you take on a wave/wake?
Head on? 45degree angle? Sideways? Turn the other way and
run(j/k)?

I would go head on, if you go side ways you have a greater chance of capsizing if the wave is a big one. Turn around is not very good either because if the wave breaks on the back of the boat you are screwed. That is what i used to do when i had my boat. to bad i had to get rid of it because i didnt have enough time.

Yep well that was for saltwater, i just could not find the time, i spent more time cleaning it then using it. I will miss my good old 24 foot searay, it wasnt exactly a fishing boat but was great for fluke and flounder and bluefish. I just remembered all the good times i used to have . In the near future i am looking at more of a fishing boat, and something smaller with less matenience, I/o are a real pain.

You can take on the wave at a 45 degree angle or take it straight on. But never go side ways to it.
