I am already bringing a Makita drill and two Makita flashlights for my icefishing hut with usually three 6AH batteries along. I was wondering if i should just ditch my 12v 8AH SLA battery and use the 18v Makitas instead for weight and size savings. My flasher units can all take 10-20v 3A, so it shouldn't be a problem since my cables have 3A fuse inline protection from factory.
Has anyone tried Lithium Ion tool batteries for ice fishing? They have them for Milwaukee, Default and Rigid batteries too.
I would not recommend anyone going out to buy an 18v battery, but if you already have power tools and are using it for a flashlight or auger drill, i think its worth it. It is also winter and i am bored
I used these two.
