New fish finder

Hi guys. So I'm trying to decide on a new fish finder. I have a deeper portable one and wanted to upgrade.
I mainly fish from a float tube but wanted one that would be ok for a small boat should I lose my mind and decide to buy one.
I am not a brand fan so was asking for any input you can share.
I'm leaning to the helix 7 mega si, but the Garmin uhd 7 with so can also be a factor.
What do you guys think?
Also is there a big difference from mega to mega+ on humminbird?
Lowrace also have some models with more or less the same specs.
Will use it mainly for fishing/structure finding with the si and some drop shot with the di. It also needs to make custom maps as I fish in small bodies of water that don't usually have maps.
Also not planning to upgrade it for some time, so no 360 or panoptix.
