Thanks Goldrod. Wish I could describe how the rod actually fishes and handles but don't have one in the lab yet. Based on what the team has told us so far I'm definitely excited about the new design. If it is even just a little lighter and/or more sensitive I know this is going to hurt the wallet as I absolutely love a number of the current NRX models. I also dig the new styling as it pays respect to the past and brings the new line up to date.

Zander I just knew that DSR would get a special mention.

:D

I preordered that one. I look forward to your review.

Hahah! You know me well buddy! Probably sneaks into my IG posts more than any other spinning rod. Absolutely love it and eager to find out how the new version compares!

Your 2011 write up of the original is what set me down the NRX spin path being a smallmouth finesse geek. Thanks to you I ended up owning all but a few in the lineup. I don’t know how many times I was asked about that rod by smallmouth guys and how it loaded. I referenced your review and the photo of it loaded up.

Having contributed to dozens of pieces with Ned Kehde on that rig I greatly look forward to getting that NRR in my hands as well. Soon.

Keep up the great work.
