I like a longer rear grip, paint, winding checks, anodized aluminum, inlays, thread work, glitter, stylised text or graphics. You know, uttter nonsense for a fishing tool. I also like the minimal but sleek and stealthly look of a Posion Adrena. This rod, while it looks to be an extraordinary high performance fishing tool at an amazing price, looks like it was made from mud hole parts. This is purely as asethetic critique so it can be ignored but I hate the look of those carbon grips. It's not a Gary Loomis fault. Every rod I see those on looks lke someone glued a black dish rag to the handles. To make things even more confusing I love the idea of carbon fiber grips and have criticized rods like the Steez "Racing Design" for having tree bark grips instead of racing like carbon grips.
Too long didn't read: love the idea but too ugly.
