van is great to work with. i got his antares HG and it's a beauty. great communication, fast shipping and excellent packing.

Just bought a Luna 103 from Van and wouldnt hesitate to buy another reel from him. The reel was as described the shipping was fast and communication was some of the best. Thanks Van the reel worked great this weekend.

Bought a reel recently and all went well. Excellent communication.

A very long time ago when I was maybe 19 or 20 years of age I purchased my first ever JDM reel from Van, it was a gorgeous TD-itö 103M.

Fast forward nearly 10 years later it had been a long long time since I had hopped on TT because as I’ve very heavily upgraded my collection over the years I bought everything almost exclusively on eBay.

Alas, I went through the most recent pages and saw that Van had listed a pretty heavily modded Megabass Bespoke Grigio Titanio and I had been wanting to ad another monoblock or two to my fleet.

He had posted on the thread that after a few price drops he was pulling it from the market to keep it and do some more things to it.

I kinda just said screw it I’ll message him and see if he’d be willing to let it go. We got to talking and came to an agreement on a price and he sent me the reel!

This Grigio was in excellent condition with only a few marks and had the following mods : upgraded Steez handle for a longer handle and better look (the silver color matches the reel perfectly!), PX68 6:8:1 gears, original Daiwa corks which really look amazing and feel great on the reel, and what really topped it off was he had already modified it so a 34mm spool could be dropped right in. The original itö I got from Van is sadly out of commission but this mod allowed me to drop that spool right in and now this reel’s casting performance is downright scary and with the PX68 gears this reel is unbelievably smooth, without a doubt the smoothest reel I’ve ever had my hands on.

He was even nice enough to throw in the OG factory spool and handle in the deal.

Bottom line is I hadn’t talked to Van in close to 10 years and it was like our conversation picked up right where it left off. He is a stand up guy and really does his best to make his customers feel important. I’m happy to call him my friend.

Enjoy my brother...wish I had a place for it in my arsenal, but it was just going to end being a shelf queen. Much better that it gets out to good use.
