AIR brakes = SV?

Do the brakes in the T3 Air and SS Air share similar characteristics as an SV spool? Both have the rotating inductors. Casting seems to agree but that could be a coincidence.
Also is there a difference between the SS and T3 Air spool besides the inductor saying "SS Air" on the SS Air?
