Passing of a longtime member...

Post by Cal » Wed Mar 08, 2023 7:11 am

Just received news this morning that our friend, mhood, passed away. His health had been failing recently, and he finally succumbed after being flown to the hospital yesterday. 😢

Learned lot from mhood over the years. Sad news to see him go.

Man, that sucks! He has been a great fixture here, though he took a break here the last several years(he told me to spend with his grandkids). He will be missed, for sure.😢
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

My thoughts and prayers for his family. May God comfort them now and ever
He will surely be missed here
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible

I was thinking of him just yesterday. I hope his family and friends find solace in their memories of him.

mhood was one of my favorites. From his orange reel thing to his steadfast admiration for his Daiko Burroughs rod he seemed like a genuinely good guy. I’m not as regular here as most of you so I’m glad I saw this to pay my respects.

I remember conversations with Marc being all excited about trying to replicate the 6.4:1 gear set that came in the legendary Airy Red KTF Pixy... a way to speed up his beloved platform back then was of significant importance to him. I'll think of him next time I turn the 7.2:1 gears in my old Pixy platform. Tight lines fishing brother...
