Not much to say just yet without testing. My last attempts(many many attempts) have been epic fails.

What else would you like to know?

Well, I guess mostly are these custom cut or some gears from another reel?

Main gear is oem with tweaks and the pinion is custom cut.

Very cool. A 7.1 RH TD-Z has been one of my fishing 'Holy Grails" for a while, but don't have the resources to do any custom fabrication or anything like that. Good luck. I hope it works out for you!

Day one of testing was OK, But had spool engagement issues. Tweaked for day two's test and all went very well. Besides being a bit geary feeling they fished the best so far!! I'd still like to test them a bit more. Wasn't much of a jig bite. All I caught was a stump. Texas rigged the second day, But the bite was mainly blade or moving baits this weekend. ](*,)

@pharmboy2010 I may need another tester if your interested? You were the first to respond and I liked your "holy grail" comment!!

That would be awesome if you can make a quality set. I would also be interested in acquiring a set or helping with QC.

I just wish the OG Zillion 7.1:1 gears worked in the TDZ. That is maybe my favorite gear set of all time.

I wonder if another company could buy the cast and dies for the OG TD Z gears? Seems that the stuff thats no longer available through HH Studio, is now being available out of China at Ali Express and DIY.

I don't have enough material to do more than 2 sets right now. I'll keep you in mind for tester number 2. ;)

I like the SV103 series as its the best of both. OG Zln gearing with the 34mm spools. Wished I bought more!! The BBS will likely be the only RH TD-Z I'll own. The other is the TD-Z100ML Which has been given the swimbait duties now that I have it geared to 5.1:1. :D

Oh and there still may be a chance for 8.0:1 gearing. Just to busy at the moment.
