Winn Grip
Re: Winn Grip
I've had 1 rod that had Winn grips (St Croix mojo yak), and didn't mind them at all. They were comfortable and definitely less slippery when wet. I wouldn't dismiss another rod that had them because of the grips if it had the other specs I was after.

Re: Winn Grip
I have a custom frog rod built with winn grip and it works as advertised. I'm not a huge fan of the aesthetics, but it works for me. I'd own another one if the need arises.
Edit: I typically like EVA. Cork isnt my favorite, but I do have a couple rods with cork grip.

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

They are ok. I have a couple rods with them. I wish I used carbon instead of Winn on my custom K2 though

Re: Winn Grip
They are ugly, but if comfort is important to you then they are hard to beat. Won’t be using one again because carbon grips are so much better though. Swap that thing out Hobie!
