Just received a package from Japan. Now I just need to purchase an Alphas SV TW :D

That's awesome. I wanted to pick up a couple of those from the recent listings but couldn't figure out how to register on their site. Let me know if you have a change of plan and want to move the spool.

My finesse skipping machine. Alphas SV with carbon drag star and handle on an old Steez Skyray 6'8" ML. This one lives to shoot docks. This was my 1st Daiwa and enthusiast tier import reel. Never looked back and am still a big fan on the Alphas today. Just got off the lake skipping docks and only managed an hour on the water and one bite but it was a big 3 pushing 4. Put up a good fight on 10# flouro.
That's my favorite rod for finesse texas rigs. I'm hoping to see the revamped version in new steez rod lineup next year.

Which model is this? I thought all the Alphas KTF spools were shallow. Is this a fixed inductor?

It's an Alphas NEO Kahen. The inductor moves. They offer a shallow spool and deep spool. Planning on pairing it with my Daiwa Harrier F-Spec and spooling 10 lb fluoro. It will be my river tube set up.

Nice. I have the same spool in 34mm. Might need to find one of these.

Here's my collection. I need to start actually fishing them though. I just have fun working on them and changing things.

Give us your thoughts on that ktf when you get some time on it. I’m wondering how the spool feels when under and not under load. Aluminum and titanium shafted Chinese spools always give me more of a hollow feel compared to stick steel shafted spools. I’m wondering if ktf is the same?

I have a ktf finesse for steez ct/alphas ct. Not sure what you meant by hollow feel from the shaft but it does have that annoying noise from the micro bearing when winding, not as bad as rays studio but still. Ive already spooled the neo with lines, hoping to test it out within next few days.

Played around with ktf neo a couple of times this week and my quick take on it. In Alphas it's now similar to steez ct/alphas ct, of course a bit faster and quicker. I can get slight more distance with neo with something like 1/3 oz lipless same line/same rod. For lures around 1/2 oz total weight, i think the stock spool is fine. It's an expensive upgrade for not a significant gain but the reel itself can be had for relatively cheap (and very good for its price) so it's somewhat easy to justify it if you want to throw lighter stuff more comfortably.

Finally a reel that matches those Tatula Elite rods. Looks great on it. Not sure what Daiwa is thinking with colors sometimes.
