Ok, I really need sleep...

But... for the BASS logo, check the Fish avatar directory.

For the Optima avatar, check the Manufacturers directory.

Hope they look ok because my eyes are a little fuzzy right now.

Hey thanks a lot JIP, that was quick. I think I'll stick with this one for good.

Actually, I did that so fast, I didn't remove the background.
Go to the same directory and you'll find one with just the badge.
Looks like this

Just in case you haven't noticed, JIP and I have been working hard to provide you with a staggering number of AVATARS. If you're not using an AVATAR, check out the galleries below and I'm sure you'll find something you like. If there's anything you would like to add, post it to this thread.

Great job on the editing guys!!!

What else can you guys accomplish with graphics?!?!

zmazefsky,

Just an FYI-
When it comes to using an avatar from a URL, you need the exact path to the image. An example of a path would be: http://www.bassmaster.com\images\logo.gif

Hope that makes sense!

How do you edit an avatar once you have figured out how to load it onto your profile? I have a few I'd like to use, but they are larger than the maximum width and height permited. I could probably save them as a JPEG and edit them with Adobe Photoshop, but then I won't have a "URL" to enter in my profile.

Z,

E-mail me the graphics you want to use for your avatars. I'll edit them and ask JIP if he can load them into the TT avatar galleries.

If you want to do it yourself, you'll have to use a graphics editing program and save the image as a gif (if you want the background to be transparent) image. You will have to set the background color as transparent. You can use hotavatars.com to host your edited image. Most picture sites only have jpg supported picture uploading and those image types do not support transparent backgrounds.

Do you see that the background for the watermelon/black flake Tiki Snake is white? That's because it is a jpg image. You can also flip a.k.a. mirror the image using your graphics program.

If you save the jpg file as a gif, you can use the on-line program gifworks.com to rotate the image, re-isze the image, and set the background transparency.

Now it all makes sense. I was saving as a jpeg, I didn't even consider another format. I will give it a try with a few and if I still can't get them to work I will send you the URL's.

Thanks for the help Reno

Z.,

Make the white backgound of your Tiki Snake transparent by going to http://www.gifworks.com.  They have a transparency tool that works great.
