Cal might know from his preview. AFAIK no rods have actually shipped yet.
Not my article

(FWIW, the Epitome reel seat in the photos looks different to me than the BW reel seat photos. It's more rounded and integrated, less brutalistic.)

So… who else is having that recoil guide tip replaced as soon as they receive the rod? Lol.
I’m just gonna pick up a titanium sic guide or something, idk yet, but I’m not dealing with braid or leader knots with that recoil tip.

If you are getting rid of your recoils
I know a guy

Zander's stick is now in my possession for an appointment in the lab...
The reel seat is smooth and very comfy. Trigger seems to be placed well and is not overly large.. more on the minimal side.
The tip top is not Recoil.

Really? Did he change it or did it come that way? Because I could have sworn when it was asked before it was said that it was recoil guides throughout the rod.

That's how the rod came to us... we do not modify any product that is in the process for review.

Nice then I guess I won't have to do anything to it. Can you tell if it's a torzite or just the standard Titanium SIC that most people are using?

I'd have to look at it more closely to see if I can determine. Since it's not mine to review, I just did a quick look over to see it wasn't a Recoil tip top.

So i just saw a response from Edge to a facebook post with the same questions... confirmed that the tip is a Titanium SIC guide with the rest being recoils.
I asked if they had any idea when they would start shipping the pre-orders, will post a response if I get one.

Has anybody received shipping information on their pre-orders?
